We booked a family room for four adults - we are family. I love that there were two a/c's in the room. The sit-down bathtub was interesting as it was roomy enough for two There was a King bed, two bunk beds and a full sized bed. we all had our own beds and plenty of space which was a great way to end the trip as a family in one room since prior to that at each hotel we separated rooms and hotels by two. Definitely try the sunset happy hour, it's the best view and the apps and drinks are delicious and worth the money. Wouldn't recommend dinner as we found it very bland and not tasty. This is my second time at this hotel in stone town. I stayed one other place. I also like the location - right in the middle of the maze of shops but still walking distance to some of the popular restaurants and clubs.

The Chef at Maru Maru is outstanding and I would not hesitate to stay here again based on this as a main factor. I am gluten free and delighted with the way the chef and restaurant staff managed my allergies / requirements. The chef is particularly wonderful at offering options and went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of regarding food - and I am very grateful. It also takes skill and knowledge to properly be able to cater to gluten-free people and this was one of the best experieneces I have had for that. All the staff and management are briliant and no doubt I will stay here again! Thank you to the brilliant chef & all at Maru Maru!

Plakseda.khalfani mamy and Frank were wondering staff who welcomed me with open arms. They even surprised me with a birthday cake during my short stay. They made sure I was comfortable and pleased my entire time. I will definitely book this beautiful hotel again when I arrive later this year. This place really made me feel like home away from home.

Staff were fantastic….very helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was plentiful with a lot of variety and again very nice, helpful waitresses. Hotel location is perfect for exploring the city, and the rooftop bar and swimming pool are great places to relax.

The hotel is in a great location - right in the centre of the historic Stone Town. The staff were pleasant and happy to please. And the rooftop was enjoyable with a nice ambience and a scenic view.
